SAXBYS COFFE
1818 MARKET STREET CAFÉ
A student-run café designed to merge brand culture, operational efficiency, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.
Saxbys at 1818 Market Street is a flagship café developed to elevate the brand’s hospitality identity within a high traffic corporate tower. The design blends warm modern materials, refined detailing, and subtle brand cues to create a welcoming community environment. The project involved rethinking customer flow, integrating modular lounge seating, and developing a fresh architectural standard for the client’s expanding portfolio.
As Designer, I supported concept development under the Senior Designer and later led the design execution including modeling, construction documentation, FF and E detailing, coordination with consultants, and on site collaboration with the client and contractor.

DESIGN NARRATIVE
Saxbys 1818 Market was designed as a warm, brand-forward café that could comfortably handle the heavy morning foot traffic of Market Street. Under the Senior Designer, I assisted with concept development, material selection, and spatial planning studies—helping shape a layout that supports efficient customer flow and a welcoming café atmosphere. The final design blends warm woods, matte blacks, and custom millwork to reflect the Saxbys identity and enhance the guest experience.
